Keep them blooming longer

The six steps we follow every morning.

How to care for each bloom.

Our most-loved flowers each have their own quirks. Here’s what to do — and what not to do — for the nine varieties we ship most often.

Roses

Garden Classic
  • Re-cut stems every two days.
  • Change water regularly to prevent cloudiness.
  • Keep well away from direct heat.
  • Outer “guard petals” can be removed if bruised — this is normal.

Vase life
5 – 7 days

Sunflowers

Sun-loving and thirsty
  • Use plenty of fresh water — they drink heavily.
  • Change the water daily where possible.
  • Re-cut stems regularly for steady uptake.
  • Best displayed in a cool location.

Vase life
5 – 8 days

Chrysanthemums

The long-lasting one
  • Very long-lasting when cared for well.
  • Change water every 2–3 days.
  • Remove fading blooms promptly to protect the rest.

Vase life
7 – 14 days

Tulips

Still growing in the vase
  • They keep growing in the vase — entirely natural.
  • Use shallow water; do not overfill.
  • Keep cool for the best results.
  • Re-trim stems if they bend.

Vase life
4 – 7 days

Lilies

Highly scented
  • Remove pollen as it opens to prevent staining.
  • Keep firmly away from heat and sunlight.
  • Strongly fragrant — place with care in small rooms.

Vase life
7 – 10 days

Peonies

Arrives in bud
  • May arrive tightly closed — this is intentional.
  • Keep cool to encourage gradual, even opening.
  • Gently remove outer guard petals if bruised.

Beautiful by design — kept out of reach.

Some flowers and foliage may be harmful if ingested. Flowers are decorative items and should always be kept away from pets and small children. If you’d like a pet- or baby-conscious arrangement, get in touch before ordering — we’ll happily adjust your bouquet.
